Change hours for a holiday or one-off closure

Handle a special date without losing your normal weekly pattern.

Updated

Identify the affected date

Write down the local date, location and service that should change. Decide whether the whole day is closed or only a particular interval differs. Review existing orders or bookings that may already depend on that date.

Record the exception

Use the dated schedule or exception controls for the affected date. Keep the normal weekly hours intact for the following weeks. Check any message about overlapping intervals and confirm that the exception belongs to the correct service.

Verify both dates

Check the customer-facing availability on the exception date and on the same weekday the following week. The first should reflect the special schedule and the second should retain normal hours. Tell affected customers about changes to work already accepted.

If the closure does not appear

Check the date and timezone, saved state and service context. Do not assume a social announcement changes ordering availability. If the saved exception and customer view disagree, record both views and ask for help before taking further orders for that time.
