Read it as a first-time customer
Check that the first screen explains what you offer and where you serve. Remove sample business names and unfilled instructions. Review spelling, prices and public contact details on each page.
Try a phone as well as a computer
Read the page at a narrow width. Check that headings fit, images show the right subject and navigation is usable. Look for text that becomes hard to read against a photo or coloured background.
Follow the important links
Open your contact links and the pages customers will use next. Check that links lead to the intended destination. If ordering, enquiry or booking tools are included in your setup, test their supported customer journey before advertising them.
Confirm readiness
A saved page or selected design is not proof that a site has been published or that payments and services are ready. Confirm the live address and any outstanding setup steps. Keep a list of corrections and recheck the changed pages.
